Meridian does not publish a country score or an industry score. Observed prints stay observations. A 30-year path exists only on Project, and only as TimesFM output on an LSE series. The steps below are the forecast method.
Every 30-year path on this desk follows the same method. The numbers change with the series. The steps do not.
1Full history, not a sample
The series is read from the London Strategic Edge economics vault, paged in blocks of 5,000 until the stored history is exhausted. Nothing is dropped to make the chart shorter.
2One number per calendar year
TimesFM is run on annual points. A series that is already yearly keeps the last print in each year. Any other frequency is the mean of the observations in that year. The model needs at least 16 years. It sees at most the last 256.
3TimesFM 2.5 writes the path
The weights are google/timesfm-2.5-200m-pytorch, Apache-2.0. TimesFM 3.0 is not used; its license is non-commercial. The run uses a context of 256, a horizon of 30 years, normalized inputs, a continuous quantile head, and a fix so the quantiles cannot cross. The median is the point path. The band is the 10th and the 90th from that same head. It is not a statistical confidence interval.
4A scenario is a second run
The baseline is always the unshifted history. An impulse is added to the last few annual prints, then TimesFM runs again. Up to five numbers you type are treated as assumed future years, marked on the table, and the model starts after them. The model does not invent those years.
5Jev reviews the path. It does not edit it
Jev, a TypeSafe decision model, chooses keep, refit, or hold. Keep leaves the first TimesFM path as the client path. Refit, and only if confidence is at least 0.5 and you did not set a scenario, sends the series back for another TimesFM run: drop the last year if it sits more than 2.5 standard deviations from the prior decade, otherwise use the last 40 years when the sample is longer. Hold leaves the numbers on the page and takes them out of the headline. A fit label says whether the path can lead a memo. It is not a country score.
6What the path is not
It is not an official forecast, a house view, or a composite country or industry score. Oxford Economics, BMI, S&P, and Macrobond sell those. This page shows the labeled model path, the band, and the review.
The coverage table is the World Bank extract ingested 2026-09-22. The Project desk does not use that extract for a 30-year path.
The EU table on Sources is Eurostat as compiled on 21 May 2026. It is labeled as that compilation, not as a live Eurostat pull.
The desk runs a Softbots squad: Clive (Chief of Staff), Mira (research prints), Patch (method and the OpenBB map), Quill (the live tape and the brief), Ada (rates and the IMF path), and Ness (one company). Jev picks the owner and the first tool. If that confidence is below half, Clive holds the question instead of guessing. If the hosted Jev call does not return, the desk asks Laya, the open-source Jev-compatible model, at LAYA_URL. Laya is not the hosted model, and it does not invent a figure. The chosen bot then works a tool loop. If it answers without a tool, the desk rejects the answer. It cannot publish a rating.
The sellable surface is the OpenBB Platform process, not a second command list. REST is the OpenAPI app at /api and /docs. MCP is the same commands at /mcp, from openbb-mcp-server, streamable HTTP. Both require Authorization: Bearer and a key from MERIDIAN_API_KEYS. The desk sends OPENBB_API_KEY on those calls and does not show the key. A provider with no key still returns an empty result.
The public site, the chart studio, the brief, and this desk are the product. Saved charts, the watchlist, and notebook notes stay in this browser. There is no seat license and no demo form.
Oxford Economics, BMI, and Macrobond sell their own forecasts, composite risk scores, or a licensed charting seat. Meridian does not imitate a score. When a 30-year path is shown, it is labeled as TimesFM on an LSE series.
GET /api/v1/countries returns the latest observed prints. GET /api/v1/countries/US returns one market. POST /api/mcp is a JSON-RPC surface for list_countries, get_country, and list_sources.
